Finally a blog on the church retreat!  I know that's what you're all thinking...well, now you won't have to lose anymore sleep, it's finally here. 

We had our church retreat at Redwood Christian Park in the Santa Cruz mountains over Memorial Weekend and had a wonderful time!  The theme was learning about Sabbath, but we not only learned about it, we experienced it.  We took time for Sabbath through the prayer labyrinth, worship, teaching, dancing, making crafts, roasting marshmallows, doing Tai Chi, and playing!  

Bo Prosser, CBF Coordinator for Congregational Life, was our main speaker and led us in times of reflection of what it means to truly experience Sabbath with God.  Jen Van Camp and Eric Bebber (who flew all the way from Washington D.C.) led the youth in all kinds of craziness, and a dear friend from Tiburon Baptist Church led the childrens' program.  Vanessa and Maisy took care of our little ones in the nursery.  We are truly grateful to them for their leadership!  

Thanks to everyone who planned and participated in the weekend, especially the Retreat Committee who put everything together.  It was a wonderful time spent with family and we hope to see all of you there next year!
